The California Highway Patrol is investigating two fatal incidents they say occurred within an hour of each other Wednesday, one of them involving a pedestrian.
Officers responded to the first incident around 9:20 p.m. in the area of Lewelling Boulevard and Embers Way in San Leandro. A pedestrian was on the roadway when they arrived and appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, according to initial information confirmed by the CHP.
Authorities had no information about this person. Alameda County Coroner’s deputies responded to this scene to remove the body.
The other death occurred in the area of Via Bellita and Via Arroyo in San Lorenzo around 10 p.m., according to the CHP. During this accident, a gray Nissan ended up on its roof. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office also responded to this scene.
No further information about either incident was available Thursday morning.
