Tampa, Florida – Jazz Chisholm Jr. was expelled from the New York Yankees 6-3 victory over Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday evening, then seemed to violate the social media policy of the Major Baseball Baseball when he published criticism in the online game.
Chisholm was ejected into the seventh round by the plaque referee John Bacon for having discussed after a third strike called a land from Mason Montgomery which seemed low, his fifth career ejection and first with the Yankees.
He posted on his X account, “not even … Close !!!!!” then removed the post.
MLB regulations prohibit the use of electronic devices during games. The social media policy forbidden “to display or transmit content which questions impartiality or otherwise denigrates a major league arbiter”.
“I did not think before I had something I said was ejected but after probably,” said Chisholm. “I am a competitor, so when I go and I have the impression of being right and you tell me something that, I think, does not make sense, I will get started and be upset.
“I lost my emotions. I lost my composure.” He added. “I have to be better than that. … I am definitely angry with myself for having lost my composure.”
