Chipper Jones is tired of a certain MLB referee.
After several questionable calls during the Cubs-Tigers match on Saturday, Jones went to burn the earth on Doug Eddings.
The 6-1 victory of the Cubs was spoiled with several apparent missed calls, including some third strikes called – including one which seemed high and outside at Pete Crow -Armstrong – which was well outside the area and which seemed to be a bad decision on a swing verified by Kyle Tucker.
Jones went to X, saying that education is one of the worst referees in baseball.
“Not only one of the worst referees of the League to take place for 2 decades … but always one of the most conflicting toxic combinations.” Jones wrote.
Jones, who played for the Braves from 1993 to 2012, had many runs with Eddings, who began working in the MLB in the late 1990s.
Eddings worked 14 post-season series, including two World Series.
He was also part of the World Series arbitration crew last year between the Yankees and the Dodgers.
Jones apparently does not have many positive memories of the games arrested by Eddings.

He is not the only one either.
In June 2023, Eddings issued a warning to the Diamondbacks in a match against the Nationals.
At the bottom of the first round, he was complained of the Arizona and Eddings canoe and took it upon him to contact him, which was filmed in Bally Sports Arizona TV due to the low attendance of the game.
“Remember, there are not many fans here and I can hear everything you say,” Eddings told the canoe, which was also a slightly embarrassing blow to the Nationals, who were in the last place in the NL East at the time.
Jones clearly wants to take measures, considering Eddings calls as a more embarrassing pattern rather than the exception of the League.
