Chipotle, Taco Bell and more

These deals are not burrito-bles.

National Burrito Day is today, Thursday, April 4, and fast food restaurants are celebrating by offering deals to their customers.

The foodie holiday is a highlight of what devotees call “burrito season,” which reportedly lasts from March to May and is the busiest time of year for Mexican food consumption, Chipotle told Business Insider .

A spokesperson for the new fast casual brand told BI they see their highest sales volume in spring thanks to “weather and daylight.” The burrito-specific reason this phenomenon doesn’t continue into the summer is that the many chain restaurants located near colleges and universities don’t do as well at the end of the academic year.

But for now, with the season in full swing, take some time to take advantage of this year’s National Burrito Day deals.
