China’s services PMI expansion slowed slightly in April, but remains strong – recap

The Caixin and China Composite Services PMIs for April are here:
- China Caixin Services PMI for March 52.5 (expected 52.5, ahead of 52.7)
Earlier this month we had China’s other PMIs, all equally strong:
- China April 2024 Official manufacturing PMI 50.4 (expected 50.3) Services 51.2 (exp 52.2)
- China April Caixin manufacturing PMI 51.4 (expected 51.0)

- “The strong start to the year is consistent with Caixin’s manufacturing and services PMIs, which have remained in expansionary territory for several consecutive months,” said Wang Zhe, senior economist at Caixin Insight Group.
