Sony’s flagship store in Shanghai’s upscale Huangpu district saw its stock of six freshly delivered PS5 consoles sell out quickly on Tuesday, as a flood of shoppers helped push total sales that day above normal levels, according to store staff.
According to staff, buyers who place an order for a PS5 after Wednesday may have to wait up to a week to receive the highly sought-after console.

The console also held the No. 1 position in “most wanted items” for video game equipment on Tmall for four consecutive days during this period.
