China accused the United States on Monday of having undermined the preliminary trade agreement of the two countries after the United States has issued an industry warning against the use of Chinese chips that distinguished Huawei.
Beijing “demanded” that the Trump administration “to correct its mistakes,” a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said a journalist, qualifying the management of the US trade department as “discriminatory” and “market distortion”.
“China urges the United States to immediately correct its bad practices,” said the spokesperson, according to a translation from Google.
“If the United States insists on its way and continue to harm China’s interests significantly, China will take resolved measures to protect its legitimate rights and interests,” said the spokesperson.
The White House did not immediately respond to the request for CNBC comments on the remarks.
The US Commerce Department of the Department of Trade Department and Safety Bureau last Tuesday warning “the risks of using advanced PRCs, including specific fleas from Huawei Ascend.”
“These chips have probably been developed or produced in violation of American export controls,” the office said.
These guidelines occurred two days after the Trump administration announced a “trade agreement in China” after high -level talks in Geneva, Switzerland.
These negotiations led Washington and Beijing to agree on a 90 -day break on most of the prices that had a ground on the ground between the two nations.
President Donald Trump said the American prices on Chinese products – which had been reduced to 30% against 145% – could be started if a broader trade agreement cannot be reached when the break expires.
The secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, called the talks as “very constructive” and suggested “that the differences were perhaps not as tall as perhaps thought”.
But Monday’s remarks suggested that the American position on Chinese chips could create a roadblock for new commercial progress.
“The United States is abusing export control measures, tightening the control of Chinese products on charges on smuggling charges and even interpreted with Chinese companies using china fleas,” said Beijing spokesperson.
“The United States is excessive, which is typical behavior of unilateral intimidation. China is firmly opposed,” said the spokesperson.
“The actions of the United States seriously harm the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, seriously threaten the security and stability of the global semiconductor supply chain, and have a serious impact on global scientific and technological innovation,” added the spokesman.
“This practice of using unilateral protectionism to contain and isolate other countries will ultimately undermine the competitiveness of the American industry, and the result can only be to shoot itself in the foot.”
