China says that it “counter-contained” American pricing pressure

The best Chinese diplomat, Wang Yi, threw his country as a rampart for peace and stability in a world thrown into chaos by the Trump administration. He warned against a return to the jungle law if more countries act like the United States to continue his own interests above all.

While the Trump administration increases global trade relations and threatens to abandon alliances, China is trying to burner its image in the country and abroad and to make wicking to Western domination. “We will provide certainty to this uncertain world,” Wang told journalists in Beijing on Friday.

However, Mr. Wang’s representation of the role of China has conveniently minimized the friction that also caused him. The Trump administration also disrupted its allies by threatening to take Greenland and apparently taking the side of Russia in its war against Ukraine.

“The major powers should assume their international obligations and fulfill their role as large powers,” said Wang. “They should not be focused on profit, and even less intimidation.”

He made no mention of the muscular flexion of China, which fueled tensions in the region. Chinese coastal guard ships, for example, impose the disputed claims from Beijing to large bands of the Southern China Sea by cutting and sometimes sliding from Philippin ships.
