One of Chicago’s most iconic ice cream parlors is honoring moms with a sweet treat for Mother’s Day.
On Sunday, May 12, The Original Rainbow Cone is offering free rainbow cones to moms in honor of Mother’s Day, according to the store’s website.
The offer requires a minimum purchase of $5, the website states. It is only available at Original Rainbow Cone ice cream parlors.
The offering follows the upcoming opening of a new Original Rainbow Cone location in Wicker Park. The new store will open May 28 at 1750 W. Division St., according to a spokesperson.
The Original Rainbow Cone has 11 permanent locations in Illinois and one in Florida, the spokesperson said. Recent openings include a location in Orland Park and on the Magnificent Mile. Additional sites are expected to be set up in Tennessee, Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida, the spokesperson added.
