Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, Marianela King, asked for divorce just over a year after the couple canceled their breakup.
According to court documents obtained Wednesday by page Six, King, 37, submitted a petition on Tuesday for a dissolution of marriage with Allman, 48, in Los Angeles.
It cited irreconcilable differences as a reason for the split and listed the date of separation as March 31.
King, who married Allman in December 2013, “asks $ 6,000 per month of support from the temporary spouse according to the matrimonial standard and the capacity of (Allman) to pay.”
She also wants “the exclusive use of the residence and the vehicle of the parties (Toyota Prius V) 2017”, noting that if Allman decides to keep the car, she will ask “an additional punctual payment of $ 2,000 and $ 500 per month in support for spouses so that (she) can acquire a vehicle for her use”.
King told people, who was the first to report the news: “We had a good 13 -year -old trip filled with memories that I will always cherish. I know we will stay friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart. ”
She asked for “privacy” as the pair “turn the page to this next chapter”, although Allman was not available to comment.
In February 2024, a judge granted his request for divorce dismissal of January 2024 after having initially refused him.
The request was granted “without prejudice”, giving Allman – who had for the first time asked for divorce in November 2021 – the possibility of recovering on a later date.
The judge’s alternative decision intervened a few days after Cher’s attempt to place Allman under temporary emergency supervision was refused for the second time.
The judge ruled against the injunction proposed by the emblematic singer because Allman proved that he had “managed his finances”, “has an apartment” and “remained without drugs”.
Dear, 78 years old, had initially made a request to restore the succession of Allman in December 2023, citing his alleged problems of drug addiction and the inability to “manage his own financial resources”.
Allman, whose father is the musician late Gregg Allman, opposed his mother’s request.
Although he has certainly “fought against dependence and spent money in a way that has not always been the most responsible,” he assured the judge in his response that he was “clean and sober”, calling a tutelage “not necessary for the moment”.
King also said that Dear was “categorically unfit” to take control of Elijah finances.
The Grammy winner officially put an end to her offer for the supervision in September 2024 after the mother-son duo “resolved this question in private” in mediation.
