What exactly happened before the serious misconduct?

The incident occurred during the third quarter of the game. Carter made a shot and Aliyah Boston waited to throw the ball to Clark. No. 7. The replay of the game shows Carter shouting a few words before checking Caitlin’s shoulder, sending her to the ground.

The hit was ruled an unexamined personal foul and Caitlin was awarded a free throw. She completed the basket, ultimately leading to a 71-70 victory over the Sky.
