Chelsea are expected to make an offer for Michael Olise this summer, regardless of who they appoint as their new manager.

As The Mirror reports, the Blues are keen to sign Crystal Palace star Olise regardless of who they appoint as their new manager.

Olise, who plays mainly on the right wing but can also be used as an attacking midfielder, has been hugely impressive for Palace this season scoring ten goals and providing six assists in 19 Premier League matches.

Chelsea are looking for a new manager following Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from the club by mutual agreement.

Under the leadership of Todd Boehly, Chelsea aim to be very active in the transfer market again, which would allow the new manager to focus on preparing the team.

Chelsea will likely face significant competition for Olise, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool all interested in signing him.

The fact that Arsenal and Liverpool could offer Olise Champions League football next season could be tempting for the 22-year-old.

Olise was previously at Chelsea’s academy from 2009 to 2016, but it remains to be seen whether he will return to the club.

With his trickery, Olise has often impressed for Palace, where he has three years remaining on the contract he signed last summer.

Palace tied Olise down to a new deal last year after Chelsea made a £35million bid which they claimed had triggered his release clause in his previous contract.

Chelsea finished in sixth place after another chaotic season, but there will likely still be plenty of upheaval following Pochettino’s departure.

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna is among the managers being considered by Chelsea, with Leicester boss Enzo Maresca also in the running alongside Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

Another candidate is also under consideration, with Chelsea having begun the process of conducting formal interviews.
