Chelsea’s plans to move to a new stadium should wait until 2042, the owner Todd Boehly revealed.
The number of a new stadium for the western London club has been a point of discussion for some time now, the House of the English Giants of Stamford Bridge who was probably taking their rivals.
Stamford Bridge is currently the ninth largest first league place in terms of capacity for around 41,000, which places Chelsea more than 33,000 seats behind the League Manchester United League in Old Trafford, and 7,000 behind the Snderland championship.
In addition to the deficit in ticket sales with which the blues is faced, there is also the question of income from the hospitality of the day, which is more and more important with the strict profits and sustainability rules to which the Premier League is subject.
There have long been discussions on a new stadium for the blues, however, and if it would take the form of a new construction, a overhaul or a relaxation, with apparently divided owners.
Boehly told Bloomberg that, although plans to improve the stadium have been in place since the club’s purchase, they could take some time to materialize.
Todd Boehly suggested that Chelsea fans should wait 2042 for their new stadium

Stamford Bridge currently has the ninth greatest capacity throughout the Premier League
“These are years (until the plans materialize) in preparation,” admitted the chief of the blues, who is a co -owner of the club with Clearlake Capital.
“ When we bought the club originally, we initially agreed that we had 15 or 20 years to understand this, but it is a big project in a really interesting city like London where there are many constituencies that have an opinion.
“Obviously, the number one district for us is our fans base and what will be the best for Chelsea.
“I think everyone recognizes that a club as big as Chelsea should have a stadium that reflects the size of the club and, ultimately, it will be a strategic advantage.”
Speaking at the Milken Institute World Conference, he also revealed that discussions on the club stadium would reopen at the end of the season.
However, Boehly’s co -owner Hansjorg Wyss did not exactly present a unified front when he was discussed the same subject outside Stamford Bridge.
“If it will happen, I don’t know. It’s a lot of obstacles. Right now, we do not have a person who leads this project, that’s what we need, “said the Swiss billionaire.
He added: “The meetings, the meetings of the directors I saw, we did not have a person who said” I will get there (or), that will not happen “.

Improvements at the stage – or even a relocation and reconstruction – have long been discussed

The Enzo Maresca team is looking to get a return to the Champions League for next season
The Blues are currently looking to become the first team to win the three European trophies and have one foot in the final of the conference league after beating Djurgarden 4-1 in the semi-finals.
They also hope to return to the Champions League after a strong first season under Enzo Maresca, who currently has them fifth with three games to play.
As one of the country’s largest outfits in the past 20 years, the mayor of London Sadiq Khan earlier this year said they had become “victims of their success” when they discussed Stamford Bridge.
“My message to Chelsea came to tell us about what you want to do,” Khan told Times.
“Chelsea is the victims of their success, and Stamford Bridge is now too small for them. After all, it’s a team that won the Champions League twice.
“ We are working in close collaboration with our seven Premier League clubs, but I am sure that Chelsea looks with a little desire in the stadiums that some of their rivals in London have.
“ We are really impatient to make sure that Chelsea, as we are with all our clubs, continue to prosper and prosper, so we are ready to talk to Chelsea of the plans they have.
“For the moment, they have not approached us. But we are here.
