Chelsea would have made the decision to stick to Enzo Maresca as a chief coach, that the club lacks qualification in the Champions League.
The blues are currently fifth in the Premier League table, which would be enough to get a return to the Europe Elite Club competition next season.
The Maresca team is ahead of the sixth Aston Villa villa on the difference in goals, while Nottingham Forest is just one point behind in seventh.
Chelsea will face crunch matches against Man United and Forest in their last two championship games, but know that the victories will see them returning to European elite competition for the first time since the 2022-23 season.
Maresca admitted earlier this year that the club’s goal was to get a return to the Champions League.
According to the Telegraph, the owners of Chelsea, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, decided to keep the faith with Maresca, even if they are not the target.
Chelsea would have confidence in Enzo Maresca, whatever the end of their season

Their hopes for qualifying in the Champions League are at stake after losing against Newcastle

The victories in their last two league games would seal a return to European elite competition
The blues would not intend to make a change and plan to give the two complete seasons the two seasons in charge before assessing its performance.
MARESCA received a five -year contract by Chelsea last summer, the 45 -year -old appointed after managing Leicester for champion.
His predecessor Mauricio Pochettino left the club after a season in charge after finishing sixth last season, but the Argentinian was appointed during a first two -year contract.
Chelsea could also secure silverware during the first season of Maresca as a head coach, the blues having progressed to the final of the conference league.
They will meet the Spanish side Real Betis in the final in Wroclaw on May 28.
Earlier this month, Maresca said that winning the tournament would show that Chelsea was “back”, the Italian suggesting that the realization would help build a “winning mentality” in his team.
The final occurs only 19 days before Chelsea had its first match at the FIFA Expanded Club World Cup in the United States, with an international set.
