Chelsea recorded a fourth consecutive victory against Tottenham by beating their rivals from London to Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening.
The blues, which won the 4-3 inverted match in December, took the lead just after half-time when Enzo Fernandez returned home with a Cole Palmer.
Moises Caicedo thought he had doubled the advantage of Chelsea with a spectacular volley a few moments later, but it was finally prohibited for offside after a four-minute Var review.
Meanwhile, the Spurs did not record a shot before the 69th minute when the replacement Pape Matar Sarr reached a long -term goal in front of Robert Sanchez.
However, this objective was also prohibited as a result of another long check from Var, because it was judged that Sarr had the victim of Caicedo violation in the accumulation.
The result saw Chelsea recover fourth place with eight laps of lighting to play. Spurs remain 14th.
