Meanwhile, it was time for Rachel’s last night date with zack. After a day of tasting tequila and eating grasshoppers in Mexico, Rachel and Zach had a romantic dinner that led to an invite to Rachel’s suite.
When the sun rose, however, it became apparent that things weren’t going as planned.
“Waking up this morning feeling a bit confused after last night,” Zach said. “The evening in the fantasy suite with Rachel was not the night I expected. At first in the fantasy suite, I felt so safe. We are having an amazing time, getting closer to the engagement and we have this important conversation about religion and politics and all that.”
Zach explained that Rachel had expressed concerns about the 25-year-old’s ability to engage, which he said “came out of nowhere and I think it was bulls–t, for be honest”.
So he did what any confused Bachelorette suitor would do: he went to Jesse Palmer’s room for a pep talk! Zach told Jesse that Rachel was a whole different person when the cameras weren’t there, which he called “very inauthentic.”
With only one of her men remaining in Mexico, Gabby decided to forgo the rose ceremony and have a talk with Erich alone. In his bedroom, Gabby told him she loved him, to which Erich exclaimed, “That’s amazing.”
It’s a happy ending sorted.
Meanwhile, as the rose ceremony was about to begin, Zach asked to speak one-on-one with Rachel. However, before we can find out what he said, things returned to Los Angeles and Jesse standing in the middle of an empty soundstage.
“I know you were all expecting to see the end of this spectacular rose ceremony in Mexico right now,” Jesse said. “I know you are very anxious and eager to know what will happen next.”
Yes, Jesse! Yes we are!
“Unfortunately, you won’t see that tonight. I’m really, really sorry about that,” Jesse continued. “Things have been so emotional and dramatic for Gabby and Rachel that we thought it was right to take a moment to prepare for the shocking events that are about to happen. Events that are about to happen. change Rachel and Gabby’s lives forever.”
Jesse then announced that next week Bachelorette the final will take place live.
Get ready, Bachelor Nation.
