Chay Akkineni filming with Sobhita Dhulipala, meeting with Samantha

After more than two years of dating and marriage, Akkineni Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu divorced after four years.

After their divorce, when Naga Chaitanya married Sobhita Dhulipala last year, he faced trolling. Naga Chaitanya has never said bad things about Samantha, but Samantha has criticized her behavior on several occasions.

She even mentioned during the promotions of Citadel: Honey Bunny that she would have liked to spy on Chaitanya.

A few years ago, Naga Chaitanya attended the event of Adivi Sesh’s film Major, which starred Sobhita Dhulipala as the heroine. During this event, it was speculated that a close friendship developed between Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita, which later developed into love.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha had previously acted together in films like Ye Maaya Chesave, Manam and Auto Nagar Surya. They also performed together in Majili.

Director Shiva Nirvana, impressed by Sobhita’s performance in Goodachari, cast her in the role of the girlfriend in Majili. Some scenes between Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita were also shot. However, due to unknown reasons, Sobhita was later replaced by Divyansh Kaushik in the film.

Majili was the last film where Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya appeared together as the lead couple.

Since their divorce, Naga Chaitanya’s three films have been box office failures, while Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been more selective in her film choices.

She surprised her fans by sharing bikini photos on social media after her song in Pushpa 1. Samantha made her Bollywood debut in the web series The Family Man 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny.
