ChatGPT is down for some, OpenAI is working on a fix

OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot has been down for several users around the world over the past few hours. Many users have posted about the issue on X and Threads.

ChatGPT has more than 100 million weekly users, according to OpenAI.

On its Services Status site, OpenAI reported this incident as a major outage and said the company had identified the bug and was working on a fix. According to the status tracker, the company began working on the issue at 12:21 a.m. PDT on June 4.

There have been a few partial outages for ChatGPT users over the past 30 days. The most notable incident occurred when users were unable to access web results due to the Bing API outage last month.
