Cat Dominated the headlines since its arrival in 2022, quickly becoming one of the most powerful and popular AI tools available today. But OPENAI still has ambitious plans for its generative AI model, as recently revealed in an internal strategy document which describes its objective of creating the “de facto interface of users to the Internet”.
THE Strongly expelled document From the end of 2024, it was revealed this week as part of the discovery process in the antitrust case of the Ministry of Justice against Google. In this document, Openai describes the company’s plans to evolve chatgpt in “Ai Super Assistant who understands you deeply and is your interface with the Internet”.
Even with a large part of the blackened document, it is clear to what extent OPENAI expects that Chatgpt is revolutionizing the way we go online. The company considers it less as a tool and more as a companion to surf the web.
“Today, Chatgpt is in our lives through existing form factors – our website, our phone and our office applications,” said the document. “But our chatgpt vision is to help you with your whole life, no matter where you are.” This includes everything, to take meeting notes or prepare a presentation to help you catch up with friends or find the best restaurant.
OPENAI describes by describing chatgpt as “in the form of T” because it combines “general skills for daily tasks which are tedious and in -depth expertise for tasks that most people find impossible”, as to learn to code.
While the first half of 2025 focused on building chatgpt as a “super assistant”, the second half will go to the generation “from a sufficient monetitable request to continue these new models”.
“In the first half of next year, we will start to evolve Chatgpt into a super-assistant: the one who knows you, understands what interests you and helps any task that an intelligent person, trustworthy and emotionally intelligent with a computer could do,” said the document. “Timing is correct. Models like 02 and 03 are finally intelligent enough to reliably perform agent tasks, tools such as the use of computers can stimulate chatgpt capacity to act, and interaction paradigms such as multimodality and generative user interface allow the pussy and users to express themselves in the best way for the task.”
Openai reveals the biggest chatgpt obstacles
The document also offers a fascinating overview of how Openai considers its competitors as Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Meta Ai.
“Pending 2025, (Raised) represents the greatest threat because of their ability to integrate equivalent features on their products (for example without dealing with the risk of cannibalization of the business model that Google does,” said the document. The blackened part is quite short, just a few letters, which makes Meta the most likely candidate.
OPENAI has also indicated its management of regulations requiring platforms to allow users to choose chatgpt as default assistant.
