Three and a half months after ECCO’s Aquarium & Shark Lab in Hendersonville, North Carolina, announced the pregnancy of organization owner Charlotte Brenda Ramer confirmed to WLOS News 13 that the stingray wasn’t waiting.
In an interview published May 31, Ramer told the Asheville-based outlet that Charlotte was suffering from a reproductive illness and that veterinarians had diagnosed the stingray as diapause, noting, “We’re still trying to figure out a lot of these things ourselves. terms.”
