Charles Oliveira creeps up on fan who claims husband could beat him in fight in hilarious video before UFC 300

Charles Oliveira certainly had fun ahead of his huge fight at UFC 300.

The Brazilian takes on Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300 in a historic anniversary event, and despite the businesslike nature of his approach to the clash, he was in a jovial mood ahead of the dust-up.

A fan was asked about the former UFC lightweight champion and she suggested her husband would beat him if the couple met him in the octagon.

While delivering a message of warning to the 155-pound contender, Oliveira hilariously appeared from the perimeters of where the fan Q&A was taking place.

He slipped behind the fan who was holding the microphone, before she turned and spotted the UFC star walking into frame.

She jumped and was clearly shocked by his arrival, shouting “Holy shit”, but the two men hugged and greeted each other hysterically.

This was a gag extremely similar to that of heavyweight legend Mike Tyson, who did the same thing during a TV show appearance.

The heavyweight legend slipped behind a fan who suggested Conor McGregor would beat him in a street fight.

Oliveira is looking to make another run at 155 pounds in a bid to regain his title that he lost to Islam Makhachev in October 2022.

There could be some huge fights in the pipeline for Oliveira, including a showdown with McGregor when he returns this year.

The Irishman is expected to face Michael Chandler in his comeback fight, but Oliveira’s trainer Diego Lima has insisted the two men will inevitably fight.

“It sucks, right? With all due respect to Chandler, I’m not taking anything away from him, but what is his history in the UFC?” Lima told MMA Fighting.

“A lot more. So I don’t know if this fight will sell. Chandler kept waiting for McGregor and people forgot about Chandler.

“Respectfully, no one knows he exists. Arman (Tsarukyan) is on a roll, Gaethje too, Poirier made this fight.

“Unfortunately, this Chandler vs. McGregor fight is selling less and less because it will be all about McGregor and not Chandler at all.

“Charles outsells Chandler. If Charles fights McGregor now, damn it, in my opinion, it would stop the fighting world. It would stop it.”
