Charles Doré in the semi-final of the “Star Academy”: Pléneuf-Val-André “fully” behind his candidate
Every week, it’s the same ritual. Before the big “bonus” of the “Star Academy”, Gaël, the father of Charles Doré, comes to hang a poster at the café Le Vent d’Ouest, in the town of Pléneuf-Val-André, to call for votes for his son . And clearly, the call is heard. “I vote every time, but last Saturday, for qualification for the semi-finals, I called the switchboard four times,” confides Ana, a loyal café customer. And I’m not the only one! I think a good part of the Bretons are behind him, because he’s the local guy. »
Ana didn’t wait for “Star Academy” to become a fan. She has known Charles “since he was little”, “a great guy”, whispers the hairdresser. “From time to time, in the living room, I would say to him: ‘Won’t you give us a little song?’ » And he did it! » His partner, Alain, a former neighbor of the singer, agrees. “Already, at the time, I could hear him singing from home. He has a voice capable of going both high and low. »
How did they experience the qualification of their favorite on Saturday evening? “I was completely crazy to see that! He deserves it so much, and he’s only 18, exclaims Ana, visibly moved. He had never taken singing lessons before the show. And there, we really see his progress, so hats off! »

A naturalness that seduces
One performance by the young man stands out for his fans: his interpretation of “The Times of the Cathedrals”.
“Because his voice, rather high, corresponded very well to the song. It was his best performance in my opinion,” confides Alexandrine Trotel, whose daughter is Charles’ best friend. “And he has a great voice, which stands out,” adds his partner, Philippe. Beyond talent, it is the personality of the candidate that appeals. “He is natural and a bit of a clown,” describes Alexandrine, who follows his daily life at the “castle”. But I don’t think he’ll get a big head. Or that he will forget where he comes from. »
“We only hope one thing: that he wins! »
The Pleneuvians do not forget. Monday, December 30, more than 500 fans responded to shoot a support video. “They filmed at the port of Dahouët, at La Rotonde and at the church of Pléneuf. It was crazy to see so many people, coming from the four corners of Brittany,” recalls Chloé, a horse-riding friend.
Next Saturday, Charles will play his place in the final against Marine. “It’s a bit like the final before its time,” believes Philippe. And indeed, the duel promises to be close, but the Pleneuvians do not doubt their star. “We are fully behind him and we only hope one thing: that he wins! »
Message received by the local star: Charles plans to come to Pléneuf-Val-André, Wednesday January 8, to meet his audience. A stroll is planned on rue Clemenceau from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., before a session at the casino, until 12:30 p.m. “Come in large numbers with signs and flags to support him,” invites Gaël, the father. The supporters present may have the chance to see their faces on the screen during the next bonus.
