CFD ambulance struck in chain-reaction crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive – NBC Chicago

No injuries were reported when a Chicago Fire ambulance was struck while responding to a call Sunday morning, causing a chain-reaction crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Police say the ambulance was in the 1600 block of DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 12:36 a.m. when it was struck from behind by another vehicle.

The ensuing chain crash involved several other vehicles, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the collision on the Gold Coast, according to Chicago police.
