Baena was known for having written and produced comic independent films like “Life After Beth”, “The Little Hours” and “Horse Girl”.

Many of them played his wife Aubrey Plaza.

He also wrote the 2004 film “I Heart Huckabees” with director David O. Russell.

Baena died by suicide on January 3.

Button was one of the greats of men’s skating for men.

His domination in sport began in the late 1940s, when he started winning on the amateur circuit by landing that no one had ever seen before in competition, including the double axel and the triple jump.

He would win two Olympic gold medals and five consecutive world championships.

Once he retired, he became an analyst winner of an Emmy and was even one of the spirits behind the popular competition of the 1970s “Battle of the Network Stars”, in which celebrities have challenged themselves in various sports competitions.

Button died on January 30. No cause has been given.

Leslie Charleson, 79

For 50 years, fans of “General Hospital” knew Charleson as Dr Monica Quartermaine, a role she has played since 1977.

Charleson was loved by fans and used his celebrity to support charitable organisms for breast cancer, cystic fibrosis and AIDS awareness.

Charleson’s other credits include “Adam 12”, “Barnaby Jones”, “Marcus Welby, MD,” “Ironside”, “Kung Fu” and “The Rockford Files”.

She also played in “Happy Days” and gave Ron Howard her first kiss on the screen.

Charleson died on January 12 following a long illness.

Marianne Faithfull, 78

Faithfull was a must of the London music scene in the 1960s.

She was discovered by the manager of the Rolling Stones, Andrew Loog Oldham, which led her to find the instant cardons not only for his graphic music, like “As the Tears God”, which became a top 5 United Kingdom, but also for her partisan tracks alongside her Mick Jagger then with the flame.

Throughout the 1960s, it was inspiration for Stones Hits “you cannot always get what you want” and “Wild Horses” while being a co-series on “Sister Morphine”. But she was also in deep dependence on drugs. She was famous with a fur carpet during a 1967 drug bust at the Maison du Sussex in Keith Richards.

Faithfull made a return with the 1979 album “Broken English”, which earned him a Grammy nomination.

Other successful songs include “This Little Bird”, “Summer Nights” and “Come and stay with me”.

She also played in films like “I will never forget What’sname” from 1967 and “The Girl on the Motorcycle” from 1968.

Faithfull died on January 30. No cause has been given.

IRV Gotti, 54

At a time of hip-hop where producers were as important as artists, IRV Gotti was one of the brilliant stars of the late 1990s and 2000s.

Gotti, who was born Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr. and then went by DJ IRV, came to the scene as an & r for Def Jam. He brought artists who would define the next generation of hip-hop to the label like Jay-Z, DMX and JA Rule.

His outing party was to produce one of the first successes of Jay-Z, “Can I Live”, of his first album of 1996 “Responomable Doubt”.

Shortly after, his character from IRV Gotti was created when he founded rap label Murder Inc. Records, bringing artists like DMX and Ja Rule and signing others like Ashanti.

There, he became the face of Smash’s successes as “Can II Get A …” of “What’s My Name” by Jay-Z, “Holla Holla” by DMX, “What’s Luv?” “And” stupid “by Ashanti.

In recent years, Gotti had undergone brain vascular accidents and fought against diabetes problems. He died on February 5. No cause has been given.

Lynch was the visionary director of surreal films like “The Elephant Man”, “Blue Velvet”, “Mulholland Drive”, and the successful television series “Twin Peaks”.

His revolutionary works have mixed elements of everything, from horror to film noir, including surrealism, creating a unique biased vision of America.

After adapting Frank Herbert’s “dune” in 1984, resulting in a box-office flop, Lynch produced a series of surreal works that would define his career: “Blue Velvet” in 1986, “Wild at Heart” from 1990 , “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk of 1992, 1992,” Twin Peaks: Fire walk with me “(the prequel From his successful television program “Twin Peaks”, which took place from 1990 to 1991), and “Lost Highway” in 1997.

Alongside Dave Prater, Moore found the fame in the 1960s with Sam & Dave, a duet who had successes like “Hold on, I’m comin ‘” and “Soul Man”.

“Soul Man” would gain a renewed popularity in the late 1970s when Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi began playing the song as Alter Egos, the R & B singers the Blues Brothers, on “Saturday Night Live”. The song would continue to find new fans in 1980 when the film “The Blues Brothers” was released.

Moore went solo in 1970 and was inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.

Moore died on January 10 complications when he recovered from surgery.

Thanks to its magnificent beauty, Page has become a must in French cinema and Hollywood in the 1960s.

She is best known for having played Madame Anais, the owner of a high level brothel in the masterpiece of Luis Buñuel in 1967 “Belle de Jour”.

In the film, Anais supervises the actions of the character of Catherine Deneuve Severine, a bored housewife who turns to prostitution to spice up her life. But she only works in the afternoon while her husband is absent from work, which led Anais to call her “Belle de Jour” (“Beauty of the Day”).

Page also played in “El Cid”, the medieval epic of 1961 with also Charlton Heston and Sophia Loren, and Billy Wilder’s film in 1970 “The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes”.

Page died on February 14. No cause has been given.

DJ UNK (Anthony Platt), 42

This rapper from Atlanta brought music instant for the masses thanks to his successful songs “Walk it out” and “2 step”.

Anthony Platt, better known as DJ Unk stage, was a must of the Atlanta rap scene in the late 1990s. He trained everything, rallies of pep at balls.

He released his first album, “Beat’n Down Yo Block!” In 2006 and found huge acclaimed due to its two big successful songs, “Walk It Out” and “2 Step”.

“Walk it out” has become as high as No. 10 on Billboarding records and has become Platinum.

His second album, “2econd Season”, was released in 2008 but did not find the same acclamation as its beginnings.

In 2009, due to non -stop tours and a hard party, DJ Unk underwent a heart attack.

DJ Unk died on January 24. His wife, Sherkita, said in an article on Facebook that he died in his sleep after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Bob Uecker, 90

Uecker had a respectable career as a Baseball Relief Receiver of Major League in four clubs in the 1960s, playing with her hometown of Milwaukee Brewers and winning a world series with the Cardinals of St. Louis. But it was his out of the field that made him one of the most memorable figures in the history of the MLB.

After his retirement in 1967, Uecker began his second career as a broadcaster, calling games for Brewers (which he did until his death) and being the color man for network games.

His style of self-depreciation made him a sympathetic figure, which led him to become a must on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson, where he won the nickname “Mr. Baseball”. Suddenly, UECKER landed everything, from beer advertisements to a reception concert on “Saturday Night Live”.

But his most memorable concerts outside Baseball were sportsmen George Owens in the successful television program “Mr. Belvedere” from 1985 to 1990 and with the sarcastic broadcaster Harry Doyle in the beloved film of 1989 “Major League” and its consequences.

Uecker was inducted into the baseball renowned temple in 2003.

He died on January 16 after fighting small cell lung cancer since 2023.

Peter Yarrow, 86

Yarrow was a singer-songwriter who was a member of the emblematic group of folk music Peter, Paul and Mary.

With Paul Stookey and Mary Travers, the trio had six singles from the top 10 Billboard, two albums n ° 1, and won five Grammys. Their major success was “Buff The Magic Dragon”, that Yarrow Cowro.
