A case of tuberculosis has been detected within the Community of Sachem East High School, according to the health officials of the County of Suffolk.
The district contacted those who, according to them, could have had contact with the individual while they were contagious.
A letter of capital said it is recommended that all those who could have been in contact to receive a standard PPD skin test Mantoux or a quantiferon blood test.
The Suffolk County Health Services Department offers free tests to potentially exposed people.
