Carlos Alcaraz has extended his advance of “great titles” on Jannik Sinner by beating the Italian on Sunday in the interaziali BNL of Italia final.

Alcaraz now has 11 main titles, a combination of Grand Chelem championships, trophies at the Nitto ATP finals and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments and Olympic gold medals. The Spaniard, who was also victorious in Monte-Carlo last month, won several major titles in four consecutive seasons.

Large titles won: Alcaraz & Sinner

Players Chelem NATPF 1000 Total ^ (AVG)
Carlos Alcaraz 4/16 0/2 7/30 11/49 (4.5)
Jannik sinner 3/21 1/3 4/34 8/57 (7.1)

The 22 -year -old won seven ATP Masters 1000 trophies, winning glory to each of the first five events of season 1000 Masters at least once in his career. Despite his first Tournament at the Elite level only four years ago (2021 Miami), Alcaraz is now tied for the eighth most important crowns in the history of the series (since 1990) with Michael Chang and Alexander Zverev.

Spanish has always increased its level with large titles on the line. During the championship matches at the events of great titles, Alcaraz collected an amazing record of 11-2. His two defeats came to Novak Djokovic, who has more headlines (72) than any player in history.

Alcaraz succeeded in these tournaments at a historic level, earning more than one big title for five of the events he played (1 title by 4.5 events). Only Novak Djokovic (3.2), Rafael Nadal (3.5) and Roger Federer (4.4) are ahead of Spanish. Player 2 in the PIF ATP ranking won large titles at a higher pace than that of legends, notably Pete Sampras (4.9) and Andre Agassi (6.1).

The sinner was trying to reduce the gap with Alcaraz. If the Italian had won on the floor at home, he would have stopped in a large title of his rival. Sinner had not lost a match since the Beijing final last year against Alcaraz.
