Carl Radke Regrets How He Treated Lindsay Hubbard During ‘Summer House’ Season 8

Carl Radke regrets the way he treated his ex-fiancée, Lindsay Hubbard, while the cameras were rolling on Season 8 of “Summer House.”

“I’m not proud of the way I handled the situation and the way I treated it,” Radke told the New York Times on Friday.

“I mean, I was clearly frustrated and, you know, so I wish I could have been really more direct.”

The reinstated rep for Loverboy, 39, pointed out that viewers “can clearly see him struggling to communicate (his) feelings,” insisting it was his fault.

“It’s not his fault, it’s my fault – I see myself blaming and playing the victim, and I don’t want to be either,” he explained.

Throughout the season, Radke and Hubbard, 37, argued about almost everything. Their communication skills were lacking, and as fans saw in the reunion preview, Radke was admittedly afraid of Hubbard.

From week to week, he grew more and more frustrated with his future wife, who at one point even questioned his sobriety.

Radke filmed conversations with several co-stars — and even his parents — about his concerns about his relationship, but when it came time to talk to Hubbard, he beat around the bush.

Hubbard, for his part, felt that Radke had an “angry” side, a glimpse of which was shown in the season finale when he told him that his personality could be “fucking king!” »

Only after the season officially ended did production quickly resume to capture Radke dumping Hubbard in their shared New York apartment.

During the tense scene, Radke accused the former PR executive of not caring about her feelings and always playing the role of the victim.

Now that nine months have passed since their engagement ended, Radke has no regrets about pulling the plug — even though he only did so two and a half months before their wedding.

He told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” earlier this month that he “made the right decision” — and Hubbard agrees.

In fact, she told Glamor on Thursday that she felt like she dodged a “massive bullet,” adding, “I just feel really grateful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being that you believe, intervened and saved me from a very long time. , a hard and rough life ahead.
