ISTANBUL– A cargo plane made an emergency landing at Istanbul airport on Wednesday after its front landing gear broke.
A video posted on social media showed the Boeing 767 owned by FedEx Express using the rear landing gear and then dipping its nose with the front part of the fuselage.
The plane was on the last leg of its Paris-Istanbul flight when the pilots realized that the front landing gear was not opening, the official Anadolu agency said.
No one was injured and the crew evacuated the plane safely, said Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Turkey’s transport and infrastructure minister.
The runway where the plane landed was closed while the plane was removed, he said.
