“ Captain America ” Anthony Mackie tells the actors to think like investors

The actors should think like investors and make sure to spread their bets, says Anthony Mackie.

The star of “Captain America: Brave New World” recently told the Podcast “The Pivot” that he saw a lot of his peers become “hot” and land a bunch of leading roles, only for their career to Flatline a few years later.

“It’s like, Yo, you don’t have a stay power,” said Mackie, “because you don’t diversify your wallet. If everything you are investing is Walmart, and Walmart has a bad week, you are fucked. So you have to be able to do all the other shit, and that’s what I always say to young actors.”

Investors generally buy several assets to avoid betting the farm on a single horse. They could also compensate for the risk of holding shares by also having bonds, and in a stock portfolio, they could balance the higher volatility of a growth stock like Tesla with the stability of a more stifled name like Walmart.

Mackie repeated her point when asked how to reach longevity in an entertainment career. “By diversifying your wallet,” he said, adding that now he’s in mid-40 years, it is impatient to make more to produce and manage his own experiences for moviegoers.

“Tyler Perry showed us the mold,” said Mackie, adding that the billionaire filmmaker behind the franchise “Madea” has “created the wheel, so it doesn’t make sense to get a chisel and try to make another.”

MACKIE – Known for having portrayed the superhero Falcon in past Marvel films and its roles in “The Hurt Locker” and “8 Mile” – said that the athletes have put their renown to have automobile dealers, barbecue articulations and other companies for decades.

George Foreman, who died earlier this month, made much more money from his grills than his boxing career.

Mackie also echoed the famous advice from Warren Buffett to find a job that you are passionate about. The legendary investor has often said that he liked to be the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway so much that he has exploited dances to work.

Likewise, Mackie said that “if you like her, you never work a day in your life.”

The actor also spoke of making sure that his four sons remain anchored despite his success. “I keep my humble boys,” he said, adding that they had “never had Jordans”.

Mackie said they “don’t make this shit on the internet” and that the message he sends them is: “I could be the biggest star in the world, don’t let me surprise you stupid.”

Ben Affleck, another actor who played several superheroes, recently declared that he frequently gave his teenage son a verification of reality.

“There is always a helping hand for which I have to buy,” said Star “Daredevil” and “Batman against Superman: Dawn of Justice” about the taste of his son for luxury products. “I’m like, Bruh, you don’t need $ 1,000 in shoes. He says:” We have the money. “I say to myself: ‘I have the money – You are mowing. ‘”
