Cannes security guard clashes with Yoona after Kelly Rowland and Massiel Taveras

A Cannes security guard is once again making headlines.

The employee who took on Kelly Rowland and Massiel Taveras at the Cannes Film Festival strikes again, this time with K-pop star Yoona.

Yoona, 33, was about to pose for her photos on the red carpet when the security guard stopped her.

The interaction between the singer-turned-actress and the guard went viral on X, formerly Twitter, over the weekend.

A video from May 19 showed Yoona walking up the steps and turning to greet fans just for the staff member to block her with his arm and make her leave.

Although Yoona didn’t reprimand the guard like Rowland did, she seemed upset when she obliged and walked away.

“You could tell Yoona was upset, but she handled the situation with grace and class,” one person wrote of the Girls’ Generation member.

Rowland, for her part, was seen pointing her finger at the security guard amid their heated exchange on May 21.

The 43-year-old Destiny’s Child singer spoke to The Associated Press about the incident.

“The woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” she said. “I have a limit and I respect it, and that’s it.”

Rowland also said there were “other women who attended this mat who didn’t really look like me and who weren’t scolded, pushed away or asked to get off.”

Meanwhile, Taveras was caught on camera apparently shoving the same security guard. The unidentified usher appeared to rush her inside, apparently preventing the star from adjusting her white dress with a train adorned with an image of Jesus Christ.

The footage shows the guard using her arm to block Taveras in the same way she did Yoona.

The 39-year-old Dominican actress and TV presenter retaliated by putting her hand in front of the woman’s face.

Taveras then attended the premiere of the French film “The Count of Monte Cristo”. Taveras did not directly address her incident, but praised Rowland for how she handled her situation.

“Queen,” Taveras commented Saturday on the Rowland news via Instagram Story. “(We need) respect.”

Amid the drama, an unidentified staff member came forward to defend the sitter.

“She was an usher and worked under a lot of pressure to get people moving on the carpet, to prevent the crowd from building up,” the colleague told the Daily Mail.
