Bure, who married the former hockey player in 1996, said the key to a successful marriage is their shared commitment to God.

“Marriage is so wonderful. And yet there are so many ups and downs over the years,” she said. “I’ve said it before, but the secret is not only commitment to God and the plan that God provides us biblically in marriage, but it’s also about honoring one another. And in that, even if I can’t, he can’t do it. We deserve it, we honor each other, because that’s honoring God. The emphasis for us is that we honor God in all our actions above all else, but it is an outpouring of love that we share together, whether we really feel like it or not. this moment.”

Sometimes it’s hard to stick to what you want to do,” she added.Because maybe there is an easier way, or you feel so bad, you feel like a mean parent and you just want to give your kids what they want. But when we step back and look, we have to realize that this is a way that we are going to shape them throughout their youth. And then they get to choose what they want when they become adults. »
