The NHL Canadian Fans Hue the Star Spangled banner in an Ottawa Senators match on Saturday, a few hours after President Donald Trump’s price on the country became official.
Fans of the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa were not too happy to hear the national anthem of the United States – hunting and stiff while the singer Mandia began and ended her interpretation of the American patriotic melody, which is played, with “ o, Canada ”, “at the start of all NHL games.
When the singer of Canadian origin started the song with emblematic words, “Oh, you say that you see”, the hoots came to pay.
Mandia graciously ignored the tunes and sang the beautiful song with such a conviction that it seemed to suppress the crowd in respect.
But, at the end of the performance, a root could be heard in the stands while some fans grumbled and a minority of others expressed their support for the States by applauding strongly.
Saturday’s match presented the Senators Ottawa’s home team faced against Minnesota Wild – with the home team buying the American visitor 6-0.
Canadians at the Barrier and Patriots expressed their indignation at the 25% price of President Trump on all Canadian products entering the United States – a tax also levied against Mexico.
The two North American nations retaliated on Saturday evening after the prices were formalized-announcing that they will affect their own prices against the United States.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum work together to postpone the United States, they each announced in separate statements on Saturday.
The president says that illegal immigration and drug trafficking across the North and South border are a major reason for which he has instituted high prices.
“We have to protect the Americans, and it is my duty of president to ensure everyone’s safety. I made a promise on my campaign to stop the flood of foreigners and illegal drugs to flow through our borders, and the Americans voted in favor, “wrote Trump on Truth Social.
