Mary Fowler is linked to England after leaving Australia after the two recent matildas games against South Korea – and we can now reveal that she travels with an Irish passport.
Fowler, 22, was born in Cairns, but qualified as his father Kevin de Dublin.
Daily Mail Australia understands that Fowler uses an Irish passport because they are classified stronger than the Australian version in the world.
According to the Henley Passport index, Ireland is in third place, with Australia sixth, because the old document offers an entry without visa in 119 countries.
