In 2015, the Panthers quarterrier, Cam Newton, was named NFL MVP, but when he arrived at the Super Bowl at the end of this season, Carolina lost. If Newton could change that – give back the MVP but have the chance to hoist the Lombardi trophy – he says he wouldn’t.
Request in the first time If he could restore the MVP for a Super Bowl championship, he would, Newton replied categorically: “No.”
Newton said he would prefer his player status which had a great impact on the NFL than being a quarter-arre which has not had a great career but who played in a large team.
“What is the most important, the impact or the championships?” Said Newton. “Brad Johnson won a Super Bowl. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. Respectfully, Nick Foles won a Super Bowl. »»
Newton said that others may not agree, but that he finally wants to be judged on what he has accomplished, not what someone else has done.
“I know it’s not the popular choice,” said Newton. “My point of view is that I take individual success because I did my job.”
