CAL fire staff rescued three people on Friday who were trapped in a drainage pipe under the American frontal wall in Mexico City near Otay Mesa, agency officials said.
The fire agency received a report of people trapped around 7:45 am near an area known as Tin Canyon, said Cal Fire captain Mike Cornette.
The three people had become trapped due to the absence of a razor wire blocking one of the pipes, said Cornette.
The firefighters’ staff crossed the wire to extract the three people from the pipe at 9 a.m., people were then given to border patrol agents.
No major injury has been reported.
The border patrol did not immediately respond to a request for information.
