Caitlin Clark argued that she has the “whites privilege” in the midst of her WNBA success, despite her serious severe reaction to her previous comments on the issue.
The Indiana Fever Star first discussed the subject of the race in the WNBA in December when it was named Athlete of the Year of Time magazine, recognizing the “white privilege” which dropped its way as it entered the league and aroused the levels of interest.
The 23 -year -old man made criticism of his comments at the time, but that did not dissuade her when she was doubled on the position of his episode in the Netflix program by David Letterman, `my next guest does not need an introduction ”.
“I definitely have a privilege,” she said via Fox News. “I am obviously white but I think … I am someone who grew up as a big fan of this league. I grew up watching this league, going to matches, supporting this league. So I know where this league comes from.
“Many black women who grew up doing this league what it is. It is a bit of the shoulders on which we stick. So, I think it was something that I am very aware of and something I am very grateful. And they certainly deserve all the credit and the more we can give them credit, the better. I am very aware of that and I know it and I think there is a responsibility to recognize it.
Letterman wondered if Clark believed, as many would do on social networks, that she was targeted because of her race.

“I don’t think I was targeted,” said Clark.
Last year, as part of the Winning Time Magazine athlete, Clark gave a large -scale interview to discuss many parties of renown, including how the race played a role in its status.
Clark said that the WNBA was “built on” black players and that “as a white person, there is a privilege”.
The comments triggered the online controversy with people like the founder of Outkick Clay Travis and Dave Portnoy criticizing the Indiana Fever superstar.
Jason Whitlock abandoned his support for Clark in a hysterical crisis, saying that her comments left him in tears, while conservative activist Riley Gaines also weighed on the debate.
Meanwhile, the owner of Washington Mystics, Sheila Johnson, made a strange diatriber on Clark during a recent interview, saying that her prize at the time should not have gone to the recruit of the league year.
Clark ended up at the center of a race storm in her first season in the WNBA in the midst of charges which she was the victim of jealousy and intimidation.
Upon arrival, the sniper inspired a peak in the viewers and frequentation numbers of the League.

Her performances justified the following because she accumulated a number without procedure and broke standing records.
Before becoming a professional, Clark built a large audience with Iowa Hawkeyes, where she led the team to consecutive title matches, despite the loss of the two. It has become the first overall choice of WNBA draft and helped Indiana fever at their first appearance in the playoffs since 2016.
Clark obtained the honor of the recruit of the year while finishing fourth in the MVP vote.
But the problems surrounding its popularity have continued while the WNBA is preparing to enter its 2025 season.
Clark and fever should have 41 of their television matches at the national level to meet the demand of fans to catch the product of Iowa.
However, planning led the quadruple All-Star Napheesa Collier to wonder why other teams, such as the defending champion The New York Liberty, had not also received an increased exhibition.
“Obviously, people want to watch Caitlin playing, and you have to put people on television that people want to see. But, at the same time, there are stars all over the league, and you also want good basketball,” said collar on ESPN last month.
“Obviously, Indiana … will be a big team, but not to have the champions on television, I think it’s a bit crazy.”
