The previous standard of 85 three-pointers for a rookie was set by fellow No. 1 pick and Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard in 2022.

Clark finished the win with 19 points on 7-of-17 shooting. She made 3-of-12 from behind the arc and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.

She also contributed five rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block while committing seven turnovers in the win.

His record-breaking night was enough to impress fans watching the Fever’s home game.

Caitlin Clark is the W’s top shot creator and top passer.

OB @broken didn’t understand it

Caitlin Clark’s Rookie of the Year title was starting to become undeniable 🤣

Clark has already set several other records this season, including the WNBA standard for assists in a single game with 19.

She has broken the record for assists by a rookie, the record for assists by a rookie in an All-Star Game and the record for three-pointers made in a single game by a rookie.

Clark is also the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double and accumulate career totals of 400 points, 100 rebounds and 150 assists.

The Athletic @The Athletic

Stop if you haven’t heard yet, but Caitlin Clark is making WNBA history.
She just added the WNBA rookie record for three baskets in a season to her resume.

On Wednesday, she made league history again by becoming the fastest player to reach 500 points and 250 assists in her career.

With nine games remaining in the season, Clark is still in sight of several other rookie records (h/t The Athletic’s Ben Pickman.) These include total points (744, set by Seimone Augustus in 2006) and point-assist double-doubles (11, set by Courtney Vandersloot in 2017.)

Clark’s scoring Wednesday wasn’t the only part of his game that impressed fans, as the rookie helped distribute the ball for the Fever.

Caitlin Clark had a couple of passes in the first quarter that made me say, “Wow.” LeBronesque style.

Watching Caitlin Clark play basketball is a real pleasure

Fans especially enjoyed seeing Clark play with fellow All-Stars Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.

Erika. @the pacesetters are always on top

It’s only fitting that Aliyah Boston got her 1000th WNBA point thanks to an assist from Caitlin Clark 🤝🤝

Cheeb 🇺🇸🇳🇬 @cheeb87

Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark were made for each other. A perfect match.

Luc Albin @Luke_Albin10

Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are so much fun to watch.

Clark’s play and shooting have led some fans to predict that the Fever, who last qualified for the playoffs in 2016, could make a long run behind their star rookie.

Dipti @diptimahapatra

I swear I wouldn’t be surprised if the Indiana Fever went all the way and won it all in Caitlin Clark’s rookie season!

Mmck @Mmck09

The fever will win everything, won’t it?
Since they’ve had a chance to get to know each other and Caitlin Clark has had a rest, they’ve been great to watch. Few mistakes and some brilliant shooting.

Ethan King @thank you9

We can talk about how ROTY Caitlin Clark is and how good she is and I agree with that, but this TEAM is starting to come together! They still have to prove they can hold a lead, and when that happens, they are a very scary team! #Rising fever #WNBA

zinzy🐻♰ @itz_zinzy

Caitlin Clark is a 15 assists per game player. I can’t wait to see what the Indiana Fever management does next year…

With the win, the Fever improve their record to 15-16, which puts them in seventh place in the WNBA.

If the team finishes the season among the league’s top eight teams, Clark will have the opportunity to continue setting WNBA rookie records in her playoff debut.
