Byd sells 300,538 NEV in January, up 49% in annual shift while it fell 42% compared to DEC

Byd (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: Byddy) saw sales drop last month, affected by seasonal factors like its main local peers.

The company sold 300,538 new energy vehicles (NEV) in January, up 49.16% compared to 201,493 a year earlier, but down 41.62% compared to 514,809 in December, according to the data that she published today.

Byd sold 125,377 passenger bev units in January, up 19.06% compared to a year ago, but 39.65% less than December.

The sales of PHEV of passengers in January were 171,069 units, up 78.73% in annual shift but 43.30% lower than that of December, marking the third consecutive month of sequential decline.

Performance on the markets abroad was a positive point, despite a significant drop in overall sales.

In January, Byd sold a record of 66,336 NEV of passengers on foreign markets, up 83.38% in annual sliding and up 16.07% compared to December.

In addition to being the largest Chinese nev manufacturer, Byd is also the country’s second manufacturer of food batteries.

BYD’s power and energy storage battery installation rolled up at around 15.511 GWh in January, up 37.16% in annual shift but down 33.98% compared to December.
