Jean Grae no longer tells. Before leaving to do it, she released a handful of albums and dozens of LP. She collaborated with Les Roots, Masta Ace, Phonte and many others.
During her time as MC, she says that she never really had the impression of integrating. She loved what she did, most of the time, but why should he be right? Why is rap the only medium that a rapper can use to express themselves?

She also added the author to her CV. His new book In my remaining years is a collection of essays written by Grae. In this document, she wrote on her childhood growing up in New York, via Cape Town. About his parents, jazz musicians Sathima Bea Benjamin and Abdullah Ibrahim. She even included a fairly juicy story on Idris Elba.
Jean joins us to explain why she moved away from Rappming and never really liked being labeled as a “rapper”. She also enters her education and explains why she thinks that her parents returned to South Africa for her birth.
