Rare eagle 12

The distillery behind some of the America’s most sought after whiskeys officially revealed Rare eagle 12A bold and 95 Kentucky Straight bourbon daring who now joins the rare Eagle family as a permanent expression.
Timing is not a coincidence. And this one, it seems, was worth waiting.
“This whiskey represents more than time in a barrel – it is the result of years of dedication, innovation and an unshakable commitment of our entire team,” explains the Buffalo Distiller Trace Master Harlen Wheatley. “The investments we have made – in time, resources and efforts – allowed us to explore New aging and flavor possibilitiesAnd this version is a proud reflection of this trip. »»
Rare eagle 12
At first glance, Eagle Rare 12 is a natural progression compared to her 10 -year -old brother, one of the most famous work horses in the distillery. But do not let the similar label deceive you – it is a deeper dive in complexity. Like its younger counterpart, Eagle Rare 12 is made from Buffalo Trace Mashbill # 1, but the oak time in oak and proof of slightly higher traffic jam (95 against 90) give it a richer and more structured profile. Expect sugary aromas decorated with almond in the nose, followed by layers of vanilla, toasted oak and hot caramel in the mouth. The finish? Long, smooth and undoubtedly, rare.
At the price of $ 49.99, it is a bourbon indicated by age which offers both prestige and accessibility, which is increasingly rare on the current market. It is intentional, explains Andrew Duncan, world director of the brand at Buffalo Trace.
“At Buffalo Trace Distillery, we believe that there is no shortcuts to create exceptional whiskey – there is no substitute for quality time spent in a barrel,” explains Duncan. “With Eagle Rare, we always strive but never satisfied, constantly experimenting to allow Bourbons declared to the greatest taste.”
The Eagle Rare range already includes the widely loved 10 years old, the 17th ultra-rare years (part of Buffalo Ancient Collection), and high -end unicorns like rare eagle 25 and double eagle very rare. With the addition of Rare Eagle 12, the brand adds a new anchor point – a bottle with enough complexity for connoisseurs but a price that will not send you in an auction war on the secondary market (for the moment).
Eagle rare 12 will start hitting shelves, bars and restaurant bars in June 2025 on certain American markets, with an international deployment to follow in the fall. And if an early interest is an indication, it will not stay long.
