The double winner of the major championship and Golfer Liv Bubba Watson made an astonishing assertion on the Tiger Woods peak compared to the recent climb of a golfer.
In 2000, Woods undoubtedly had the best season of the PGA Tour that any individual player could never bring together.
He won the US Open in Pebble Beach, the championship opened in St. Andrews, and the PGA championship in Valhalla two won major titles three to five in his career.
Not only that, but he won six other events on this year’s tour of this year’s tour: the Mercedes Championships (now known as Sentry), the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Bay Hill Invitational (now known as Arnold Palmer Invitational), the Memorial, the WGC-NEC Invitational and the Canadian Open.
But despite all these victories – including these three main titles – Watson thinks that there is another golfer who makes a complaint for the best season in the history of golf.
“I know Tiger did things in 2000,” Watson told Golf.com. But the year of Scottie (Scheffler) (in 2024) was the best we have ever seen with all the talents around the world. That was it.
Bubba Watson thinks that Scottie Scheffler had a better year in 2024 than Tiger Woods in 2000

The 2000 Woods season is widely considered one of the prevailing season, if not the most, in golf
Watson’s complaint is bold. Contextualized it, okay?
On the one hand, Scheffler did not win as many events as Woods – winning seven victories in total in 2024.
Scheffler started his 2024 with a victory at Arnold Palmer, then the players’ championship before wearing his second green jacket at the Masters.
He followed this with victories at the RBC Heritage, at the Memorial, at the Travelers Championship and finally, the Tour championship – claiming the Fedex Cup with.
Apart from the tour, Scheffler also won a gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games, which Woods was never able to compete.
The tête-à-tête, Woods and Scheffler succeeded 20 departures in the tour during their respective year of grandeur. The two golfers made each cut for their events.
In addition to the six victories, Scheffler finished in the top-25 in 18 of his 20 events, finished the top-10 times and the finalist twice at the Houston Open and the Charles Schwab Challenge in Colonial.
In the majors, Scheffler won the Masters with four shots on Ludwig Aberg, finished T-8 in the PGA championship (also in Valhalla), a raw T-41 at the US Open in Pinehurst, then T-7 at the Open at Royal Troon.

The 2024 Scheffler season dominated from start to finish – winning seven events

But it is fewer events, fewer majors and fewer finishes among the first 25 than the woods in 2000
Now for Woods. In 20 departures, he finished the top 25 of the 20 times. He also finished in the top-10 17 times like Scheffler, but was a finalist four times.
Then there is his domination in the majors. After finishing Solo Fifth in Augusta in 2000, Woods won in Pebble Beach with an amazing 15 shots. He followed this to the old course with an eight -time victory. Then, at the PGA, he beat Bob May in the playoffs to win his third major in a calendar year.
Faced with all this success, Watson tries to assert that the Field woods faced were lower.
But consider that Woods, born at the end of December 1975, accomplished all these things in 2000 at the age of only 24 years. Scheffler, in comparison, was 28 years old last June.
Naturally, the majority of fans on social networks thought Watson was scandalous – the flamingo in the comments.
“Tiger did things?” It looks like Bubba smoked things ” wrote a user on X, formerly Twitter.
“Just a horribly bad catch,” said another user. “Tiger once held the 4 majors. What the hell are we talking about here.
Another user said, “I cannot understand this level of madness”. One joked by saying that Watson could be the “first golfer to suffer from CTE”.

Woods beat the ground in Pebble Beach in 2000 by an improbable 15 shots to win the title

He won a second major in St. Andrews before winning a third later this year – at the age of 24
An answer was a survey – where 77 users who responded, 90.9% thought that the 2000 Woods season was better than the 2024 of Scheffler.
Things in the life of Woods have been turbulent lately – with a serious injury in the middle of a new swirling romance.
Woods recently underwent a major setback in his return to golf plan when he revealed that he had broken his Achilles tendon.
The 15 -time winner winner was preparing for his last return home in Florida when he felt “acute pain” in his left heel.
He underwent surgery on March 11 and is expected to recover completely, but was excluded from the Masters next month.
In a statement, Woods said: “While I was starting to accelerate my own training and train at home, I felt strong pain in my left Achille, which was deemed broken.
“This morning, Dr. Charlton Starden of the hospital for special surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida, repaired the mini-invasive Achilles tendon for a broken tendon.
“I’m back home now and I plan to focus on my recovery and rehabilitation, thank you for all the support.
