“Guy, we were with Kid Rock and (Florida Governor Ron Desantis) and we have just taken a good dinner,” he said about the evening.
“We haven’t talked much about politics, we just appreciated our time together. And we are honestly really grateful to have given us the golf course to play, and super excited to be with him.
Trump was intermediary for working on a merger with the two rival tours.
Earlier this year, Trump organized a meeting at the White House between the Commissioner of the PGA Tour Jay Monahan and the Saudi Governor Pif Yasir Al-Rumayyan to try to advance a merger that has been discussions for years.
“Personally for me, there was only the positivity of this league,” said Dechambeau about Liv. “What we have been able to do around the world is quite inspiring for the young generation of golf.”
Dechambeau did not reveal when an agreement could be concluded: “We postpone the limits, that’s for sure. I think it showed PGA what potentials there is, and I hope something can be done at some point.
