Firefighters were battling a brush fire in Corona Monday afternoon, June 24, that had burned 50 acres and threatened buildings northeast of the junction of Highways 91 and 15.
Cindy Solis, a city spokeswoman, said the fire was burning near Mandevilla Way and Via Blairo. This area is marked by winding roads and large open areas covered in vegetation.
All this rain, and now all this burning brush in Southern California. Which give?
Twenty additional fire trucks and firefighting planes have been ordered, Solis said.
