Bruce Springsteen is now a billionaire, according to Forbes

There’s no need to call him lieutenant, Rosie. But it must be said that Bruce Springsteen is a billionaire, according to Forbes.

Forbes estimates that The Boss is now worth $1.1 billion, which the outlet calls a “conservative” estimate.

Springsteen earned most of his wealth by selling his music catalog to Sony in 2021 for an estimated $500 million to $550 million.

Two years later, Pollstar Springsteen’s world tour generated nearly $380 million in box office revenue, with more than 3.4 million tickets sold.

Springsteen has sold 140 million albums worldwide with his 21 studio albums, seven live albums and five EPs. He has won 20 Grammy Awards and is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He also received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2009 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.

In addition to his catalog and touring revenue, Springsteen held two Broadway residencies, performing 267 performances and grossing $113,058,952 at the box office.

Springsteen canceled the remaining shows of his 2023 tour last September as he received treatment for a peptic ulcer. He has since returned to the stage and is touring Europe. His next concert will be in Norway on July 21.
