Browns’ Nick Chubb left the field after suffering a serious knee injury

The Cleveland Browns’ promising start to the season seemed to unravel on Monday Night Football as star running back Nick Chubb crashed to the Pittsburgh turf with an injury so gruesome that ESPN wouldn’t show the replay.
Chubb’s knee buckled in a very unnatural way after Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick hit the Cleveland running back’s legs at the 3-yard line with 14:14 left in the first half.
For the same reason ESPN neglected to air the replay, it is advisable not to watch the injury video if you are the least bit disgusted.

The Browns immediately ruled Chubb out for the rest of the game. The Pittsburgh crowd gasped as the replay played into the stadium. To the crowd’s credit, they also stood and applauded when Chubb was carried off the field.

In 2015, while Chubb was playing at Georgia, he tore the MCL, PCL and ACL in the same knee during a game against Tennessee. Sports physician David Chao spoke to X and said the injury was a “multi-ligament dislocation type injury of the left knee.”

No official word has been released on the extent of Chubb’s injury.
