Just minutes after the shock breakup news broke, Koepka paid tribute to his wife, Jena Sims, with a steamy snap on social media.
“So proud of you @jenamsims,” he captioned a photo of the model wearing an animal print bikini during her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo shoot, released today.
“Amazing what hard work can do!” I love you!’ he added.
Fans were quick to react, theorizing that Koepka shared the message to get into his rival’s head ahead of the 2024 PGA Championship.

He confirmed the split in a brief statement via his team on Tuesday.
“Rory McIlroy’s communications team confirmed today that a divorce has been filed,” McIlroy’s manager Sean O’Flaherty began. “They highlighted Rory’s desire to make this difficult time as respectful and friendly as possible.”
Court documents filed in Palm Beach County, obtained by DailyMail.com, said their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

The Northern Irishman and Stoll married in 2017 after a fairytale meeting in 2012.
The couple share a daughter Poppy, aged three, born in 2020.
The couple, who welcomed daughter Poppy Kennedy in 2020, married in 2017 after a fairytale encounter at the 2012 Ryder Cup.
Stoll was working for the PGA when she met McIlroy, whose career earnings total nearly $87 million.
The divorce filing states that the couple had signed a prenuptial agreement. However, details of the deal were not disclosed.
McIlroy and Koepka will meet later this week at the PGA Championship, the second major of the year.
