Brooke Shields Reveals How One of Her Auditions Involved Farting
Not all Hollywood auditions are nerve-wracking. In fact, some can be a gas.
Take it from Brooke Shieldswho said his audition for 1976 Alice, sweet Alice involved farting while dramatically pretending to be strangled.
“By the way, I got the job,” she said with a laugh on the April 3 episode of Watch what’s happening liveduring which the host Andy Cohen guessed strange facts about Brooke and another guest Elizabeth Hurley. “My first film that I acted in.”
Highlighting how the slasher film was later re-released under the title Holy TerrorBrooke teases, “It wasn’t just about the fart!”
Elsewhere in the segment, the 58-year-old confirmed that a hopeful suitor once offered his family 12 camels in exchange for a hand in marriage. However, as Brooke jokingly noted, her mother Teri Shields thought the dowry was rather low.
“‘Seriously?'” she recalls Terri’s reaction, joking that the fan should have also thrown “a few diamonds” into the deal.
