Brittney Griner And Cherelle Griner welcome a new member to their team.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child together more than a year after Brittney was released from detention in Russia.
“I can’t believe we’re less than three months away from meeting our favorite human being,” read the couple’s joint Instagram post from April 14, complete with the hashtags “#BabyGrinerComingSoon #July2024.”
The post – which featured an image of Brittney and Cherelle clasping their hands around an ultrasound of their baby, whose gender they have not revealed at the moment – was also full of love from fans and friends.

And of course, the Women’s National Basketball Association and the Phoenix Mercury showed their player some love, with the WNBA writing “Yay,” while Brittney’s team added, alongside tears emoji from joy, “Baby Griner”.
Cherelle’s Instagram Story also gave a glimpse into the couple’s baby shower, with videos showing guests participating in diaper changing contests while blindfolded. For the occasion, as shown in the photos published in her Story, Cherelle donned a purple jumpsuit, showing off her baby bump, while Brittney wore a light blue floral jacket over a simple white t-shirt and pants.
