Reports that Britt Baker could be done with AEW appear to be “exaggerated,” says our own Bryan Alvarez.
Baker’s status within the company made headlines on Monday following reports that she is “extremely unpopular” in the AEW women’s locker room and that Tony Khan may no longer book her for the television because he is “fed up” with her.
Alvarez wrote to his followers on X:
“After speaking to several people within AEW, the Britt Baker stories all over the internet today seem to be blown out of proportion. She’s not in use and there don’t appear to be any imminent plans, but there’s nothing for her to end the business with.
Baker’s last match was a victory over Penelope Ford on the November 13, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite. After the fight, Serena Deeb took the stage and it appeared that an angle was forming between the two. Baker was heard saying “Nobody cares” at the end of the segment, and Deeb wore a t-shirt with “Nobody cares” written on it to the ring for his match during the AEW clash on the 7th. December. However, neither Deeb nor Baker have wrestled in AEW since then.
