British banking system “resilient” in the middle of Trump’s prices, says Reeves – Politico

The remarks are used as the British government is pressure for a trade agreement with the Trump administration to try to alleviate the prices placed in the United Kingdom and other global economies last week.

The United States has imposed a reference rate of 10% on all British imports, as well as a 25% tax on vehicles and steel and aluminum.

Reeves told deputies that a trade war “is not in the interest of anyone” and that the government would make “good decisions which are in our national interest”, while engaging in its tax rules.

The Chancellor has also confirmed that she had since spoken to the Ministers of Finance of Canada, Australia, Ireland, France, Spain and the European Commission, to reduce obstacles to trade.
