The remarks are used as the British government is pressure for a trade agreement with the Trump administration to try to alleviate the prices placed in the United Kingdom and other global economies last week.
The United States has imposed a reference rate of 10% on all British imports, as well as a 25% tax on vehicles and steel and aluminum.
